To whom it may concern,

We are so appreciative of Merritt and Vantage Athlete's support and efforts for Hawken.  Merritt helped us understand the college recruiting process and NCAA rules, but more importantly, he helped Hawken set goals and think through his plans for like after high school.  Vantage Athletes provides a valuable service to Humboldt County student athletes.  We are very pleased that we worked with Merritt during Hawken's junior and senior years.

Take care,

To Whom It May Concern,

If you are a parent with a high school student athlete that is interested in college, I highly recommend checking out Vantage Athletes.  Now more than ever, there are great opportunities for student athletes of all levels to use their talents to gain access to further their education, and continue doing what they love while they do it.

This is an important time in your child’s life, so getting as much information as possible is vital.  Don’t let a good opportunity slip away because you don’t have the time to deal with the details.  Let Vantage Athletes do the dirty work for you, so your student athlete can make the best choice possible

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is April Conti-Farris, mother to Parker Farris, a senior at McKinleyville High School.  Parker  would like to play college basketball , and pursue his educational opportunities.  While preparing for everything there is to know about how to find the right school, how to apply, how to file before a certain cut off time, make sure you have applied for everything required of you, make sure you have taken the correct courses these types of events can be so over whelming to a parent and your child, and that is where Merritt comes into play at the perfect time.

I have to say working with Merritt Ford has been a great experience in such a busy time.  Merritt has always been there anytime during the day or night for my son.  Merritt always has an answer or direction to move forward and if he doesn’t know – he will find out and get right back to us.  Merritt is a perfect fit for this line of work because he has such passion for what he does.  Merritt is very professional, has much knowledge, and most definitely has your child interest at heart.   Merritt keeps me focused on what the next event will be taking place and how I need to act on it.  In today’s fast and busy world I find it a blessing to have someone working with Parker to make sure he doesn’t miss out on any opportunities he might have not known about if Merritt hadn’t been here to help us through.
Merritt has honestly been a joy to work with, my son loves him.  Merritt has built a relationship with Parker, like a big brother relationship that will last forever I am sure.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions – I feel very confident in leaving my son’s future in Merritt’s hands …. His guidance has been greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

April Farris

To Whom It May Concern:

As a parent of a senior student athlete, I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Merritt Ford. I have had the privilege of working with him for the last few months in assisting me to find the right college for my daughter, Bailey Tehan.

Merritt has been instrumental in helping us navigate the complex college system. I had so many questions on how to go about finding a college that would want my daughter on their team and that would be the best for her academically and for career choices. He answered my questions and helped me to see that I was doing what I could to help my daughter to fulfill her dream of playing college soccer and pursue her educational opportunities.

As a high school coach and a parent of athletes, Merritt recognizes the importance that sports play in a successful college experience. He opened many doors for us that otherwise we would have had no idea were available.

He made me confident in the choices we needed to make and kept us moving forward and on the right track. He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dependable. He made us feel secure in our decisions and seemed genuinely interested and concerned with our needs. He has a desire to help make the best choice for young athletes. He wants to see them succeed.
                                                                Sincerely,
